More Illness in Berezovka, Kazakhstan near the Karachaganak Oil and Gas Condensate Field

Radio Free Europe/Radio Liberty has put together video coverage of the current situation in Berezovka, Kazakhstan, where more children were struck ill today. The village is 5 kilometers from the Karachaganak Oil and Gas Condensate Field, and just yesterday the government said that there was not enough evidence to justify relocating the village. On November 28, 2014, 19 children suddenly lost consciousness in the village school; twelve more were sick today. Symptoms resemble hydrogen sulfide poisoning.

The Karachaganak Oil and Gas Condensate Field is operated by British Gas and ENI, with other shares held by Chevron, Lukoil and Kazmunaigaz.
