On this page, we publish all public correspondence that we conduct with regard to oil and gas projects that involve China.
We send information requests to state bodies of Central Asian countries, to financial institutions of China and to Chinese embassies.
We use the provisions of the Aarhus Convention, which both Kazakhstan and Turkmenistan have signed, along with state legislations.
The Aarhus Convention stipulates that information about the impact on the environment of existing and planned oil and gas projects must be open and that the projects must be discussed with the public.
We also publish relevant correspondence graciously given to us by other NGOs and media.
